BED Exams to be conducted 2 month prior to help in TET participation

The BED exams that qualify a teacher candidate to apply for the teacher posts in schools after taking TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) are to be pre-ponned from 2013, 2 months prior to their usual examination period designated.

The Government has taken this decision to handle the issue of certificate delay to the teacher candidates. The teacher candidates who had given their final BED exams were also permitted to take TET despite their completion certificate being in hold till the examination results would be announced. But as the certificate provision by the Universities was delayed, the problem arose to appoint these candidates to their posts despite having cleared the TET.

So the BED exams will be pre-ponned from the year 2013 to the month of April, and the certificates will be issued by June 1st week says sources.
