TNTET Written Examination Scheme

1. Teacher Eligibility Test will be based on the syllabus framed by Government of Tamil Nadu for Classes I to V for Paper I and for Classes VI to VIII for Paper II.
2. Question Papers will have 150 Multiple Choice Questions in the subjects under the relevant papers as mentioned above. Candidates have to mark the right choice of answers among the four options. Each right answer will be awarded one mark. There will not be any negative marking.
3. The questions for all the subjects (except languages) will be both in Tamil and English.
4. The syllabi for the subjects covered are already published in the Government Gazette. However they will be issued along with the Application Form and Prospectus.
5. The Syllabi will also be published in the Teachers Recruitment Board’s official web-site http://trb.tn.nic.in
6. The Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted on 03.06.2012 following the time schedule mentioned below.

7. The Venue for the Examination will be intimated in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Tickets will be sent by Teachers Recruitment Board directly to the eligible candidates. If the Hall Ticket is not received before THREE days of the Examination Date, the candidate may refer the TRB website (http://trb.in.inc.in) for details. The candidate will be allowed for examination after verifying his/her identify with the nominal roll in the Examination centre before the examination day.
8. Visually impaired candidates are eligible to write Paper II of TET and will be allowed assistance of scribes, who are not Graduate / Post Graduates in the respective subjects.
9. The decision of the Chairman, Teachers Recruitment Board on the eligibility of the candidate to sit for the examination will be final.
